Batman watched from the shadows as Quincy Sharp became Gotham's mayor by taking credit forstopping the Joker during the riots that destroyed Arkham Asylum. he grudgingly accepted outlow status when City Hall came down againts all those in costume, including Heroes. But when plans for Arkham City came to light, the Dark Knight knew he must act.
Arkham City: an entire section of Gotham given over to the criminals and the insane - a place where they can develop their own society freely, no matter how chaotic. Sensing unseen players manipulating events to unknown ends, the World's Greatest Detective infiltrates the privatly run prison city. Smashing his way through the gathering armies of the Penguin, Two-face, and even a recovering Joker. He'll either unravel the secret Mayor's hiding, or wathc the entire city be swallowed whole by the strange days ahead.
In this prequel to the highly anticipated video game, written by Paul Dini (Batman: the animated series) and illustrated by Carlos d'Anda (Deathblow), Gotham's worst are running the asylum and the streets.
