Covertekst

Mark Evanier was born just as the Golden Age of Comics was ending (1952) and began writing them just as the Silver Age was coming to a close (1969). The latter year was when he became a kind of factory-second Sorcerer's Apprentice to the great Jack Kirby, and he went on from there to concoct piles of comic book scrips for titles as varied as Bigs Bunny, Blackhawk, Tarzan of the Apes, Scooby Doo, and Shrek, as well as his own co-creations which have included The DNAgents, Crossfire, Space Circus and The Mighty Magnor. He has been collaborating since 1982 with Sergio Aragon?s on Groo the Wanderer, receiving numerous awards in lieu of pay. He has also written hundreds of hours of television - both live-action and animated - and watched every more than that. This book is the follow-up to a not-dissimilar collection entitled Comic Books and Other Necessities of Life - a book roundly hailed as being much better than certain other books that weren't nearly as good. And as you can see, he still hasn't mastered the art of writing back cover copy.
